User Management Overview

Introduction

Welcome to the OtasML User Management Page! This intuitive interface allows you to efficiently manage user accounts within the OtasML platform. Easily add new users by creating accounts with specified details, updating existing user information to keep your user base current, and removing unnecessary accounts to maintain a secure and organized system. Simplify your user management tasks with OtasML.

Prerequisites

  • An active OtasML account.
  • Super admin permission
  • Access to the OtasML platform.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Step 1:
    • Log in to your OtasML account.
    • On the left sidebar, click on User Management.
  • Step 2:

User Management in OtasAI

The User Management section provides administrators with tools to manage users within the OtasAI platform. The overview page displays essential information about each user, including:

  • Username:
    • The unique login username is assigned to the user.
  • Full Name:
    • The complete name of the user.
  • Email:
    • The email address associated with the user's account.
  • Status:
    • Indicates the current status of the user.
      • Active: Users with active status can log in and access the system.
      • Inactive: Users with inactive status cannot log in to the system.
  • Action:
    • Provides administrators with options to perform actions on user accounts, such as editing or deleting them.
  • Step 3:
    • In the Actions column, click on the Edit icon next to the user you wish to edit.
    • Follow the steps in the Edit User Guide to update the user details.
  • Step 4:
    • In the Actions column, click on the Delete icon next to the user you wish to delete.
    • A confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm the deletion since this action cannot be undone. The message will display as follows:

  • Step 5:
    • Administrators can change the status of a user to control their access to the system.
    • To deactivate a user, administrators can set the user's status to "Inactive," preventing them from logging in.
    • To reactivate a user, administrators can set the user's status back to "Active," restoring their access to the system.
  • Step 6:
    • Administrators can filter users based on their status (active or inactive) to manage user accounts more efficiently.

It's crucial for administrators to regularly review user accounts and their respective access rights to ensure the security and integrity of the OtasAI platform.

  • Q1: Can I recover a deleted user?
    • A1: No, once user account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please confirm carefully before deleting.
  • Q2: Can I view the details of a user without editing it?
    • A2: Yes, the Operation Overview page provides a detailed display of each user's information in the table.
  • Q3: How can I create a new user?
    • A3: Navigate to the user management page and click on the Add New button. Follow the steps in the Create User Guide.
  • Q4: Can any user create a new user?
    • No, only the super admin has this permission.
  • Q5: Is a deactivated user counted towards the total license limit?
    • Yes, for example, if your license permits 5 users and you have 4 deactivated and 1 active user, you will not be able to create a new user until you remove the deactivated users.
